I began scouting as a Cub Scout when I was in the first grade in elementary school. I became a Boy Scout during my freshmen year of high school. While in Boy Scouts I learned many things from friendship, loyalty, and courage to being a good leader as well as a good follower. I believe that being an active member in the Boy Scouts of America has helped to shape me into the man that I am today and the lessons that I have learned will stick with me for the rest of my life.
